We long for renewal—within ourselves and in the world around us. Scripture reminds us that this longing is not misplaced, for God is at work now and will one day make all things new.

Reflection
In Revelation, God declares, “Behold, I make all things new” (Revelation 21:5). This renewal begins when we put our faith in Jesus—we become a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), and God begins His reign in our hearts.
One day, Christ will return to rule the earth with perfect justice and righteousness, before God ultimately brings forth a new heaven and a new earth. What a glorious hope: we, as believers, will reign with Christ in resurrected bodies— free from sickness, decay, death, and every effect of the curse.
This hope is not a form of escapism; it is our anchor in the storm. When we face the exhaustion of a failing body, the grief of a final goodbye, or the frustration of a world that seems to be breaking apart, we aren’t looking at the end of the story. We are looking at an early chapter. The ‘all things new’ promise means that every tear shed today is being accounted for by the God who has already written the final page.
Until that day comes, we do not simply wait; we live as citizens of His kingdom. We carry this hope into the broken places, bearing witness to a transforming power that has already begun its work in us.
Prayer
Lord God, thank You that You are making all things new — beginning with us. Reign in our hearts today, shape our lives according to Your kingdom, and help us to live in hope as citizens of heaven until Christ returns in glory. Amen.
